Support Us

We can only keep doing our great work with your support.

Cat Defence Network is so grateful for the continued support of our members and people in the community.  Without this support, we would not be able continue our work.

We wish to thank the following people for their ongoing help and support:

  • Our very kind vets who offer discounted desexing fees

    • Fairfield Road Vet Hospital

    • Inner West Cat Hospital

    • Box Hill Vets

    • Hartley Valley Vets

    • Wentworth Falls Vets

  • The carers and feeders of the many cat colonies in NSW

  • Sue and Kerry from Hunter Valley Business Admin, our book keepers.

  • Petcare 2000 at Yagoona for always participating in any appeal we run

  • The volunteers in our Charity Shop in Katoomba

  • Friends at Hills Cat Rescue for assisting transporting goods to our charity shop

  • The members of CDN for their generosity

There are several ways to support us:

  • Donate funds. You can support our work by donating funds, via direct deposit into our Bank account (BSB: 112 879 - Account No. 204308816) or by sending us a cheque or money order to our GPO Box address made payable to "Cat Defence Network Inc."

  • Become a member of Cat Defence or join a friend or relative up as a member (PDF Form). Membership is $25 a year or $65 for three years. Two or more people living at the same address can be members for only $40 a year.

  • Visit or donate goods to our Op shop at 69 Waratah Street Katoomba. We accept donations of good quality second-hand goods but, as the shop is very small, we cannot accept large donations. We do not sell fur, furniture, any type of knives or dangerous items, second-hand underwear, sox or swimwear, opened toiletries and cosmetics, electrical goods, discoloured or old books or video tapes.  We can also accept cat food and cash donations at the shop.

  • Volunteer in our charity shop or assist with running our organisation. Many hands make light work.

  • Contribute to our quarterly newsletter – share your story.

  • Support our raffles – we have two raffles a year and ask our members to support these and participate in any competitions we run.

  • Make provision for us in your will by leaving us a bequest. There are many ways members can help us – it’s up to you!

Thank you for your support.

Whether you love cats or not we all have to agree that there’s too many cats – more cats than there is good homes. Desexing is the answer. Colonies can be controlled and numbers will decline when the cats are desexed and cared for. Death is not the answer.
